Keith recently wrote an autobiography called "Life." This is basically a BBC interview with Keith, asking him stuff about his life, and what it was like being a Rolling Stone.

Keith Richards my favourite guitar player, and possibly my favourite musician of all time... This clip shows everyone how truly bad ass he is. It covers the start of his musical career and ends basically in 1970. It gets awesome toward the end when shit starts to hit the fan in the States.

This doc has so many great interviews with the biggest and best Hip Hop artists. Biggie, Snoop, Dre, Method Man and Redman are just a few. Check this shit out.

Before The Music Dies

I saw this shit a while back, it won mad film festival shit. It basically explains why people today listen to shitty music. Narrated by Forest Whitaker's soothing voice, interviews with Eric Clapton, Elvis Costello, Dave Matthews, My Morning Jacket, and a shitload more. Originally, music on the radio was chosen by DJs. Then some laws changed and allowed corporations to own an unlimited number of stations (they could only have a few before). Turns out its good business to create something like Jack FM that plays bullshit that most people nod their heads to just enough not to change the station. The ultimate money making music ends up being something that sounds familiar to everyone, doesn't offend, and generally is some pussy bullshit.

Jimi Hendrix is the greatest guitar player of all time. If anyone questions me with any Steve Vai, John Petrucci, or Joe Satriani bullshit you'll go down in flames. This documentary features some complete versions of Jimi's best live performances. Rock stars, family members, and girlfriends are just a few of the people interviewed in this piece of art. Mick Jagger, John Lennon, Eric Clapton and Paul McCartney all flocked to see Jimi during his early years. Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones introduced Jimi at his first concert in America.

People don't realize how much happened musically from 1966 to 1970. The Beatles reinvented themselves three times then broke up, Flower Power and the Summer of Love came and went, Cream formed and broke up, Woodstock happened, heavy rock/metal was born, and Jimi Hendrix's rise to stardom happened just as quickly as his death. What has happened since 2006? Nothing.

This is a pretty raw documentary, almost as raw as Hendrix's guitar playing. I think it says a lot about not only Hendrix, or the music scene in the late 60's, but what living in the United States was like back then.

I saw this movie a while ago on an airplane. Amazing.

This is the story of the greatest metal band that never made it. With interviews with guys like Slash, Lemmy, Metallica, and other metal greats, the evidence is clear on how good these guys were. But why didn't they make it? With great albums like Hard and Heavy, Metal on Metal, Forged in Fire, Worth the Weight, Absolutely No Alternatives, no one actually knows.

It really hit me when the lead singer was shown working at his job delivering food to elementary schools in the frozen tundra of the Greater Toronto Area. These guys went from superstars to below average. As the documentary goes by, you'll start to love these guys more and more. Seriously, check this out.
